Intensity increases
Ricardsons Cycles Corby, big up to the boys for pulling out the stops for us once again, go see these boys for your trick bits, and if you want a unrepeatable bargain on the last in stock Lupine mega HID light get there quick, it has to go at a silly price. Tell em Jack sent you.
Did 50 miles of Beta teasing on the Intense at the weekend and I'm smiling.
First up a big loop in the dry and Icy Peaks hills showed that this sucker can climb, and how. The only thing to phase the rear tyre was sheet Ice, and hell I can't complain at that, cleaned some sections that have always bugged me, it was superb, big thumbs up on the epic capability, can't even remember putting a foot down all day, awesome.
Phase2 and its off to Gorrick for a XC test. Well I can tell you my body failed but that's down to injuries and over eating abuse, but the bike was fun. Not as sharp as the Cruz in the tight bits, but not too slow that I'm wrestling it, wide bars were interesting in some of the really tight bits too.
Number one on the grin factor though was the drive pick up, it's like it's predicted your move and acts even before you do. Up short climbs if you have the legs it will surge past riders like their chains have come off. I'd read all those magsazine comments they come out with, about bikes riding lighter than their actual weight, but it's amazing to experience it first hand.
I know, yes its new shiny bike syndrome, that causes me to see all good, not totally the case, didn't feel very plush for 5 inchs on the rear, guess I've been spoilt by coil shocks recently. Right where's the shock pump.
Bugger trolling thro the gorrick photo's gorrick200205.htm and I was that fast they missed me. Good one of Gav off the start line though. Gav
