Rutland-Melton CiCLE Classic

Hooray easy weekend coming up, Mk bowl tonight then a nice easy 100 miler on Sunday to ride out and watch Henri' and Beefy cough their lungs up trying to keep up with the cream of the UK's road racing scene in this race.

Rutland-Melton CiCLE Classic It's almost a Hell of the Midlands race, not quite cobbles but with some rough off-rod sections and the forcast of rain could make it interesting.

If you fancy watching its all happening around Rutland water/Oakham/Melton area and goes through the village of Owston no less than 6 times. Right find a pub there then I reckon. Full route is here

Rick sent some bloody huge file with photo's on from FNSS race 1, its big so maybe not worth it if your on dial-a-slow -web connection. Good shots there though.

Just ripped open a dead Hugi hub and filled it full of new bearings and grease (bloody Sherwood grit) so now I’m having my dinner, listening to the Giro down the interweb lines, Oh it’s a team time trial, dull dull dull forget that today then. Will Discovery still be dominant without old Ironballs then?
Same time I’m perusing Joolze photos from the weekend. How sunny and bright everyone looks from Saturdays XC compared to us miserable buggers on Sunday. Life’s hard at work today ;-)

Been over here CYCLOGS lately, I’m still holding my head up in the distance stakes, rest week this week though (well usefull to remind me just how many miles I’ve done in past two weeks, especially as the bulk has been off road). So missed the Valley TT last night. All the fast boys stuffed BigRing though so I’m glad I didn’t do it.

Thought the new plumz layout was going to allow me to put up loads of drivel every day, but all that does is knock the important race stories off the page pretty quick, so the blog is back for all the daily crap.

It's probably going to be a load of crap, not kiddy safe or even sensible but then thats what blogs are.
